The primary and continuing concern of The Health, Safety & Environmental Policy of the Company is that in the conduct and action of its activities, it will act reasonably and positively to protect the Health and Safety of its personnel and others, in addition to preserving and where possible enhancing the Quality of the Environment.

The Management of Granite Construction Company has overall responsibility for formulation and review of the Company's HSE Policy and will periodically monitor its implementation and development within its operational areas.

The Company firmly believes that no part of its business objectives can be carried out effectively and successfully if not performed safely. The prevention of accidents and incidents, either relating to personnel injury and / or loss of Company assets is recognized as being essential to the safe and efficient operation of Company. To this effect, it is an essential duty of all Employees to promote, integrate and maintain Health, Safety and Environmental aspects in Design, Construction and maintenance of all Plant and Equipment, Construction activities, system of works and associated facilities.

It is the duty of every employee to understand the hazards at their workplace, take appropriate control measures so as to prevent injury / accident to themselves or their co-workers and to have pro-active approach to all HSE aspects. They should stop the work any time when it is deemed unsafe.

The Company Management will set achievable and realistic goals to maintain the required standard of Health, Safety and Environment performance in compliance with U.A.E. Law / Legal requirements and client guidelines as a minimum standard. The implementation of Policy Systems and procedures will be periodically reviewed to ensure that standards are being maintained.

Management will ensure documentation of Environmental Action Plans, relevant to the respective field of activities, setting out objectives and targets, which will be monitored, reviewed and updated on an annual basis.

Management is committed for the continual improvement of HSE Performance and prevention of pollution in its area of operation.

This HSE policy will be made available to any interested party or public upon request.
