Health safety and environment, being of paramount importance to Granite Construction Company are addressed through Granite’s Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems which are certified by Third Party for compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Standards.
The HSE Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring the HSE Management System within the Organization
On award of a Contract, a Project Specific HSE Plan is prepared based on our Corporate HSE Management System and Client’s HSE guidelines. Risk Assessments are carried out for all major/ significant activities and the control measures are implemented on approval by the Client.
HSE Personnel are deployed to monitor the effective implementation of Project HSE Management System. Every six months the effectiveness of the Project HSE Management System is reviewed with the key personnel of the Project. Based on the results of the review, steps are taken to make adjustments and improvements. Lessons learned are incorporated in future projects.
